Hand-painted L.L.Bean Mini Tote Bag
Inspired by the state of Maine and everything that comes with a New England summer! Growing up in mid-coast Maine, my favorite part of summer was and still is being on the ocean and enjoying the fresh salty air! I wanted to paint a bag that combined all the things I love into one unique pattern. I had to include all my favorites like oysters, lobsters, clams, and fish alongside a boat, buoy, and lighthouse that are highlights of my childhood memories. And of course, including the strawberries and blueberries that are ripe for the picking every summer, and make me nostalgic for childhood every time I bite into them.
Each tote is individually hand-painted by me (Avery), the artist behind New Meadow Designs. Every bag is unique, crafted one by one with care. I release a limited number of each design, as creating these bags is a labor of love. I believe in using high-quality materials and products, so I only paint on L.L.Bean tote bags. Being a Maine-ah, it would feel wrong to paint on anything else!
Care Instructions
After painting, each bag is treated with a sealant to protect the art and prevent transfer. We recommend spot-cleaning your tote and avoiding direct cleaning of hand-painted areas. We also do not recommend using any abrasive cleaners.
